Bio
Twin sisters Martha and Margaret pay tribute to their great-great uncle, Jorgen Christian Dreyer
For example, see "Child head, 1913" on the Clippings page. Jorgen saw this child's head and decided he wanted to sculpt a bust of it, so he did. He was courteous enough to seek permission from the parents. Jorgen's wife Lorena thought this was his favorite work, as he did it for the joy of doing it rather than for producing income.
Another example was "Naming Lion cubs, 1921", also on the Clippings page. Although it is not known whether Jorgen originated this contest or was brought in to implement his part, it does provide an interesting foreshadowing of both the Lion for the Fitzsimons fountain (1922) and the Lionesses for the KC Life Insurance building (1925).
